Cristiano Longarini is a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Lodato.
His research topic is accretion disc physics, with a particular focus on the role of gravitational instability in the context of planet formation.
The aim of his PhD project is to understand gas and dust dynamics in self-gravitating protoplanetary disc, and it will be approached under a theoretical point of view, by means of both analytical and numerical tools.
He is part of “Dustbusters”, an international collaboration led by Prof. Giuseppe Lodato whose aim is to study gas and dust in planet forming environments.
