Chiara Scardoni joined the group of Prof. Giovanni Rosotti in July 2023 as postdoctoral researcher.
She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Università degli Studi di Milano, where she wrote her theses on protoplanetary discs under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Lodato. In 2023 she obtained her Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Cathie Clarke and Dr. Richard Booth.
Her research focuses on protoplanetary discs, with a particular interest in planet-disc interaction, planet migration, and streaming instability. She employs a primarily theoretical and numerical approach in her research.
