Maurizio Tomasi is an associate professor at the department of Physics, Università degli Studi di Milano. He obtained his PhD at the Università di Milano in 2007 with a thesis on the ground tests of the Planck/LFI instrument.
He is mainly interested in computational physics, mostly applied to the simulation and data analysis of Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) experiments. He was part of the Planck collaboration and is currently a member of the LiteBIRD, LSPE, and QUBIC collaborations. In particular, he is the chairperson of the LiteBIRD Simulation Team and the main developer of the LSPE/Strip simulation pipeline.
