Pietro Curone is a first-year Ph.D. student. He is supervised by Dr. Leonardo Testi (ESO, INAF – OA Arcetri) and co-supervised by Prof. Marco Lombardi (University of Milan) and Dr. Francesco Borsa (INAF – OA Brera). He works in the group led by Prof. Giuseppe Lodato (University of Milan).

His research topic is the study of protoplanetary disks around low-mass stars through high-resolution ALMA observations in the millimeter/submillimeter regime. He focuses on reproducing the observed structures employing hydrodynamical and radiative transfer simulations, accounting for the interactions between the protoplanetary disk and forming planets.
