Simone Ceppi is a first-year PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Lodato (Unimi, Milano) and Dr. Nicolás Cuello (IPAG, Grenoble).

His research project focuses on the study of the mutual interaction between the N-body dynamics of young multiple stellar systems and the accretion discs that surround them. His work faces this problem from a theoretical point of view, by means of numerical and analytical methods, in order to better understand the initial phases of stellar formation and the possibility of planet formation in multiple stellar systems.

He is part of “Dustbusters”, an international collaboration led by Prof. Giuseppe Lodato whose aim is to study gas and dust in planet forming environments.
